INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGES 2010
Although many of the exchanged have now been taken, there are still many you can choose from.
The possibilities including:
New Zealand
Available Places: 1
Date: The dates of this exchange are still to be confirmed but will commence the beginning of May and end the middle of July.
Duration: up to 2 months
It's a backpacker's style exchange with NZYF members acting as hosts. From our perspective exchangees would be expected to be involved in the hosts farming operations as a guest so interest in farming would be beneficial as almost all of our members are farming based or related to the industry in some way.
While every effort is made to transport exchanges to and from hosts their maybe occasions when this cannot happen and exchangees would need to meet this cost.
The Exchange will end with the NZYF National Conference, exchangees are expected to cover the cost of this and their accommodation, but there will be help with finding the accommodation and the cost of it will be advised of in January so that you are aware of the cost before arriving in NZ, the cost will also be at a reduced member rate.
Exchanges need to arrive in Auckland and a Cocktail Party or similar is held as a meet and greet for the Exchangees. First host family would attend and take exchangees home with them from the meet and greet. Exchangees are responsible for getting themselves to the venue of the meet and greet. But closer to the time they can liaise with NZYF in regards to this.
USA - Montana
Available Places: 1
Dates: Arrival Mid June
Duration: 6 weeks to 3 months
The Delegate does not have to attend the exchange for the 3 month period, but can also attend for up to 6 months. The Arrival destination in the USA will depend on which state hosts the National Orientation.
Austria
Available Places: 2
Dates: Arrival 5th July
Duration: up to 6 Weeks

Norway
Available Places: 1
Dates: Arrival on the 25th June
Durations: 6 - 8 weeks
Orientation will take place in Oslo from the 25th of June until the 27th, from there you will travel to you first host family. 4H Norge is responsible for arranging the journey from Oslo to the first host family, and from the last host family back to Oslo at the end of your stay. The county 4H office is responsible for the travelling arrangements and costs between host families within the county. The National 4H Camp will take place in Meolv from the 24th - 27th Jly, Camp fees and travel is included in this exchange.
Finland
Available Places: 2
Dates: arrival on either 15th June, 29th June or 6th July
Duration: from 6 weeks to 3 months
