What We Do
Being a Young Farmer has so much to offer, you can learn new skills, attend various club meetings, get involved in a wide variety of competitions and travel the world while meeting lots of new people along the way. There is always something for everyone and the more you put into it the more you will get out.
Each club has it's own Management Committee and they organise events, meetings, dances and competitions throughout their summer and winter syllabus'. Club meetings can range from ten pin bowling, sports, car treasure hunts, games nights, talks, visits, panel nights, stockjudgings - you name it, your local club will do it. Clubs are always actively recruiting new members so to find your local club have a look at the map.
Each club has representatives on their District Committee and the District then organise events, competitions and dances. Many competitions which are held at National level must go through an elimination which either takes place at District or Regional level. There are three Regions in Scotland - East, North and West and the Districts are all split into these Regions and have representatives on their Committees.
At National level each Region is represented. There are permanent members of staff at Regional and National level who deal with administration for clubs and districts and organise Regional and National activities.
