Why did you sign up to get involved?ย

I signed up to get involved to make a positive difference. Having been a member of Bell Baxter ADS and as someone who isย autistic,ย I am keen to raise awareness of autism and other neurodivergent conditions within Scottish Young Farmers and the wider agricultural community.ย

What does your role involve?ย

ย My role involves helping with the design and delivery of neurodiversity sessions to Young Farmers in Scotlandย

What have you gained from the role?ย

ย At the minute I have made connections with some wonderful people who are all keen to play a part in the design and delivery of neurodiversity sessions. This has helped to build up myย confidenceย and I look forward to continuing to work with so that we can make Young Farmers as inclusive as possible for those who are neurodivergent.ย

Why would youย encourage others to get involved? ย ย

ย I would encourage others to get involved so that they can learn about neurodiversity and to learn how they can help and support neurodivergent people within Young Farmersย ย

What would you like to see next from the Development & Wellbeingย Committee ?ย

I would just like to see the committee build upon theย good workย that has been done so far and to ensure that SAYFC in Scotland can be as inclusive and welcoming as possible for everyone.ย

The Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC) extends its heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support provided by RSABI and the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust. Their invaluable contributions significantly empower the efforts of our Development & Wellbeing Committee.
