Business Planning & Climate Positive Farming at Glensaugh
The Scottish NEFERTITI Hub and the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs are excited to invite you to an in-person, on-farm demonstration at Glensaugh farm on Sunday 7th November 2021, 12pm-4pm. This event welcomes new entrants to farming and young farmers to an in-person guided tour of the climate positive farming initiative at Glensaugh farm, followed by a professionally facilitated practical workshop on business planning that will consider the challenges and opportunities climate change poses to Scottish agriculture. Speakers and facilitators will include Jane Craigie (Rural Youth Project) and Robert Ramsay (SAC Consulting). This farm demonstration event is free to attend, with lunch and refreshments to be provided by Skoff Catering. Participant travel expenses will be reimbursed.

The NEFERTITI project aims to facilitate on-farm demonstration activities and farmer-to-farmer learning that supports innovation uptake. The James Hutton Institute is one partner in the NEFERTITI project, and Annie McKee from the James Hutton Institute coordinates the Scottish βNEFERTITIβ Hub. The focus in Scotland is to support new entrant demonstration farmers, or those who wish to share their knowledge and experience with young people, to encourage farming careers.
