Our Cultivating Leaders Class of 2025/26 met for t

Our Cultivating Leaders Class of 2025/26 met for the first time on Monday to kick start this year's programme.🌱

Day one began with an introduction to a variety of leadership styles and explored the key traits that make great leaders effective. Participants reflected on the inspirational figures who have shaped their own leadership journeys and considered how to apply these lessons within their own lives.

They conducted a mixture of theoretical and practical activities, which saw the attendees mix with new people and test their team-working skills on how to utilise everyone’s own unique strengths.

On day two the group had the opportunity to take part in a practical and engaging finance session with Johnston Carmichael, led by Jenn Stewart and Kim Lawrie. This crash course in accounts, taxation, and money management was incredibly informative, with everyone gaining valuable knowledge to take back to their businesses.

The afternoon session was focused on learning about how to be a good boss, how to engage and challenge those under your charge. With the group reflecting on their own experiences with authority figures and different forms of management.

The team also took the time to get to know their fellow participant's and set down their hopes and goals for the programme ahead.

We currently have 5 members attending the annual Five Nations Conference, hosted this year by the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs .

This event brings together Young Farmers from across the the UK and Ireland for a week of learning, interaction and discovery. This year, attendees will be exploring the theme of Diversification,
Entrepreneurship & Innovation through a fantastic programme of visits and workshops brought together by our wonderful hosts at @nfyfc.🙌

We hope the team have a fantastic time and come back with plenty of new ideas and connections from across the 5 Nations.
