Many thanks to the past members of Largieside JAC who donated £869.24 towards the 'Big Build' from their closed club account. This donation will not only help towards securing a future home for Young Farmers in Scotland, it will also ensure that the club's name will have a place on our Club Supporters Wall as a permanent part of this historic project and our Association's heritage. 🙌

We are so grateful to all the members, past and current, who have supported the project so far. Our members are our true focus and this new base for the Association will help us better support all our members across the country. 🏠

Congratulations to Rachel Baillie of @biggaryf - winner of the Agriscot Business Skills Competition 2025 🏆

A great achievement on what was a very well contested final. Well done also to fellow finalists David Massie of @udny.jac and Erin McGuire of @halkirk.yf for making the top three.🙌

When asked about the competition and whether she would encourage other Young Farmers to get involved, Rachel said:

"Absolutely! It might be out your comfort zone but definitely give it a go. The skills I've picked up along the way, I'll take with me into future life, one hundred percent."

It is always amazing to see how this competition encourages competitors to push themselves to try new things and learn new skills. It was brilliant to see some of the past winners join Rachel in the ring to mark the competition's 15th year and to see how many of them were past and present members of the Association.

Thanks to SRUC for their work in supporting the competition and to Virgin Money UK for sponsoring this year.

The results of the competition will be announced at 12pm at the main showring.🏆

If you want to see more of our members in action at AgriScot, we are partnering with @farmstrongscot for a special live recording of their “Blether Together” Podcast. This free event will be taking place at 9am in Seminar Room 2. 🎙️

Our SAYFC representatives and top team will also be walking around the event floor with leaflets and information on our Big Build and our upcoming 'Burns Supper Trilogy', so feel free to stop them for a chat to find out more about the project and how you can get involved.

This competition is a great way for members to explore their creative side, learn new skills and practice before next year's National Arts & Crafts Competition.🙌
