Here are our currently open international travel options for this year.

(NOTE: These opportunities are STRICTLY for SAYFC Members over 18 years old)

The Deadline for Applications is Sunday 7th June.
After this deadline we will be in touch about availability for trip interviews (if applicable).
If interviews are required they will be held on Sunday 14th June at Ingliston.

Ulster Short Stay Exchange

The Young Farmers Clubs of Ulster are inviting up to 4 SAYFC members to Northern Ireland for a short haul exchange.

The exchange will take place from Friday 24th July – Sunday 26th July. The weekend will be a chance to interact with YFCU members and will include sightseeing, socialising and a local show hosting some of YFCU’s County competitions.

This is the second leg of an exchange which saw 2 YFCU members join us for our National Competitions weekend back in February. You can read about their tripย HERE

Autumn Seminar: Finland

Rural Youth Europe and Finland 4H, warmly invite you to the Autumn Seminar 2026, AI and I: Training our Critical Eye!ย 

The Autumn Seminar 2026 aims to empower rural youth to co-create an innovative educational tool that strengthens critical thinking skills in the context of artificial intelligence, digitalisation, and disinformation. By bringing together youth leaders, educators, and digital creators, the seminar will foster collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving, resulting in a structured and interactive game designed for youth organisations across Europe.ย

Five Nations Conference

The Five Nations Conference is a chance to interact and strengthen ties with other Young Farmers from across the UK and Ireland. This year the conference will be hosted by CFFI Cymru Wales YFC in Glan Llyn Isa, Bala from the 14th– 18th October 2026.

As a team of 5 people, you will represent SAYFC to build networks across the Five Nations while developing your own leadership skills returning to Scotland full of fresh ideas, enthusiasm and motivation to drive SAYFC forward. The format will be Wednesday arrival with the group departing on the Sunday.
