SAYFC’s Big Build-

Let’s Come Together to Build a Home for Young Farmers

Welcome to The Big Build. A campaign with one simple goal, raising the vital funds needed to build a new home for our nation’s Young Farmers. This project seeks to conserve the unique heritage of our Association whilst also looking towards securing a bright future for our members and the wider agricultural community.

This new facility will replace the existing structure on the Royal Highland Showground which is sadly in a poor state of repair. The centre will be a cornerstone for YF activities during the Royal Highland Show and serve various purposes for the organisation throughout the year. Including acting as a base for our hardworking staff team and a possible hub for other rural charities.

When not in use by SAYFC, the building will be marketed as an events space, generating additional revenue for the Association and our members.

To reach our fundraising goals we are looking to Young Farmers network and wider agricultural community for support.Β Together, we can build a lasting resource for our members that will help our association to continue to grow and provide opportunities to our nation’s rural youth.

SAYFC offers a fantastic social network for young people, filled with opportunities to connect, share experiences, and develop skills. The Big Build is our commitment to ensuring a permanent home for SAYFC while preserving and celebrating our rich heritage and investing in the future of rural youth. The new centre will provide a shared purpose and collaborative environment in supporting the rural sector and safeguard a lasting legacy that empowers young farmers for generations to come.”

Jillian Kennedy- SAYFC National Chair

SAYFC plays a role in supporting the next generation of rural communities, both farmers and the wider rural community. We know that those who benefit from their support and services value them greatly. It’s so important that organisations like SAYFC have a platform at events like the Show to help empower young people across the country and so we are thrilled that we’ve been able to work with the team to help find them a suitable location to talk about their vibrant work
