🏠Fundraising Thank Yous

Thanks to the current and former members of Lothian and Peeblesshire District who have donated the seriously impressive sum of Β£5000 to our 'Big Build' Campaign.πŸ™Œ

This fantastic donation was raised through their charity auction as part of the district's 80th Anniversary Dinner Dance. We would like to extend our gratitude to the district, all those who donated prizes to the auction, and the dinner dance attendees who bid on the night. Their generosity is greatly appreciated, it's so encouraging to see our Young Farmers community getting behind this project and Backing the 'Big Build'.

If you want to find out more about the 'Big Build' and how you can get involved, head to the links in our bio. πŸ”—

Clubs can now book on for a specially prepared farm safety talk directly from the safety experts at @yellowwelliesuk πŸ‘€

Farming has the poorest safety record of ANY occupation in the UK. For a workforce that accounts for 1% of the working population, it sadly accounts for 19% of all workplace fatal injuries – 21 times higher than the GB industry average.

Thankfully organisations like Yellow Wellies are working tirelessly to change these figures through training, campaigning and providing free resources to farmers and the wider community. We are grateful for their continued work to make sure our members are informed and prepared when it comes to this incredibly important aspect of farm life and work.πŸ™Œ

πŸ“£Host visiting exchangees from Northern Ireland and Tasmania for a week in 2026!

Just like going on exchange, hosting is a brilliant chance to interact with Young Farmers from across the world, learn about their organisations, and make connections that can last a lifetime.

This is an opportunity to show off what you find special about being a Young Farmer in Scotland. You can show your exchangee the local sights, introduce them to your club and district, take them to farm tours or YF events. Really get creative to give them a truly unique experience. πŸ™Œ

πŸ“…We are looking for hosts for these 2 periods:
Sun 15th Feb and Sun 1st March
or Sat 6th June to Sat 4th July

You can apply today at the link in our bio πŸ”—
