New Members Spotlight! Carluke YFC’s Next Generation

This week on our New Members Spotlight we hear from some of the newest additions to the ranks of Carluke YFC on what Young Farmers means to them.

William Currie

“I joined YF after everything was getting opened up again and my sister had told me to come along to a rounders night to give it a go.

Personally I would like to take part in all the different competitions to really give everything a go. But the two stand outs for me is that I would love to one day win Stockman of the Year at the Highland Show and also compete in and hopefully win Young Farmer of the Year.”

Lindsay Haggart

“Young Farmers has given me the opportunity to do so many things I could never have done without joining, and I have gained confidence as-well as friends and memories to last a lifetime. Joining young farmers has been the best decision I made.”

Khai Robertson

“The main thing I have gained from young farmers is meeting new people and gaining more social skills as I have come out my comfort zone many times and tried new sports or new activities I wouldn’t think of doing before young farmers.”

Christina Young

“Young Farmers has been such a big influence on my social skills and confidence, especially after doing my first speech making. It really has opened up so many opportunities to me, meeting so many new people, and I can’t wait for what’s still to come !”
