Development & Wellbeing Committee… Progress to Date

As 2025 draws to a close, we would like to take a moment to look back on the achievements of the Development & Wellbeing Committee. Since its establishment in 2022, the SAYFC Development & Wellbeing Committee has continually strengthened its efforts, providing increasing support to both office bearers and grassroots members.

Achievements so far include; launching the SAYFC โ€œRespectโ€ Campaign, appointing Respect Ambassadors in Clubs, creating an online training hub, developing office bearer training, and continuing the work of the โ€œAre Ewe Okay?โ€ Campaign.

In the coming months, a comprehensive programme of online training will be available for Club office bearers, covering topics such as safeguarding, risk assessment, and a newly introduced session on Neurodiversity awareness.

We interviewed several SAYFC members who are involved in different areas of the committee’s work to gather their perspectives on progress to date, the benefits they have experienced, and their aspirations for the future.
