06 Sep Bathgate beat up a storm in the kitchen!
Wednesday 1st September at Waid Academy [Anstruther] saw the East Regional club pairs cook up a storm with their pinnies on!
The teams were given the allocated time, to work up one, two, or three dishes from their bag of ingredients consisting of; Peppers, red onions, lamb mince, bacon rashers, pasta and/or rice, mozzarella, crème fraiche, tinned tomatoes, tinned apricots and short crust pastry. The teams had access to key ingredients such as; milk, flour, eggs, sugar, corn flour, salt, pepper and spices.
Beating up their bowls to make it to first overall, were the duo from Bathgate JAC; Emma Inglis and Sarah Meikle. In second place was Reston’s pairing of Jennifer McCreath & Lauren Todd. Whisking their way to third was the Bell Baxter team of Emma Hamilton & Gregor Bousie.
