05 Feb Crossroads Win at West Senior Speechmaking
On Sunday 4th February The Westies headed out in force to The Corn Exchange, Biggar for the coveted West Senior Speechmaking elimination. With seven teams competing and four spaces at National available every 1/3 of a point counted! Given the challenging job of judging the high standard this year was, Mrs Jennifer Macfadzean and Mary and John Kerr. A very big thank you must also go to James Kennedy from East Lothian JAC who acted as ‘Question Master’ to all the teams competing. The West top team of Colin Mckinnon and Michael Rolfe kept the day running smoothly with the help of Louise Patterson, Elspeth Purdie and Kirsty Rae. 2nd Place – Carluke Blue (Jack Young, Mhairi Hall, Joanne Hall, Robbie Grey)
3rd Place – Avondale (Annie Bryson, Ann Fleming, Lucy Fleming, Caroline Hamilton)

Well done again to everyone taking part and good luck to those going on compete at the National Final on Saturday 24th February, Dundee.
Also held this day was the Senior Quiz Elimination. Thank you to David and Lorraine Strawhorn who kindly made up the quiz and tested the knowledge of all competitors. The final results are as follows:
