The hopeful travel, with newly elected Lucy & Linsey!

LOWER NITHSDALE’s LUCY MCCLYMONT ALONGSIDE WEST RENFREWSHIRE’S LINSEY CAMPBELL GUIDING THE ACTIVITIES OF INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL!

SAYFC’s International Travel Committee was designed by past Chair, Lianne Brunton, who has recently stood down from her role – to encourage more young farmers from all necks of the country to take the opportunities that offered to them through the programme.

Recently elected, was Lucy McClymont as the group’s 2021-22 Chair, who has been various trips around the world, with SAYFC’s programme in the years gone past! Lucy, still cherishes the memories and friends gained and wants to highlight to all members, the abundance of opportunity that awaits them (once allowed to travel again).

Speaking about her recent election, Lucy has mentioned:
β€œI am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead the International Committee for SAYFC! I have been fortunate to travel to a number of destinations through the international travel programme. I hope to be able to promote and encourage all members to get involved when normality returns!”

West Renfrewshire’s Linsey Campbell – who has also taken up the opportunities in the past, that SAYFC travel provides – has recently been announced as the group’s Vice Chair to support Lucy.

Linsey commented:
β€œI’m really looking forward to the year ahead, working alongside Lucy and the team. I’m excited to see what opportunities there are and what opportunities we can create for our members this year!”
