Time to Train, SAYFC Members!

Throughout Scotland, SAYFC are committed to ensuring that lockdown doesn’t mean a ‘block out’ of activities or new learning opportunities.

The association have launched three short workshops, bringing together its members to discuss the various types of mental health illnesses and the affecting aspects of each.

Support is required during quarantine, not solely for the youth of the industry – but their families, friends, colleagues and farming/crofting neighbours too!  In order to help spot the signs and symptoms, Lynda O’ Malley of LOM Training will be discusssing the very pressing topic of mental health awareness to all national young farmers members.

Exclusive to members, the sessions will each provide; a short workshop from Lynda and a Question & Answer session!

Lynda is fully accredited NHS trainer of the ‘Scottish Mental Health First Aid’ two day training course, which she hopes that Young Famers Clubs will book through her, as she is happy to travel nationally. The more people trained to understand the types of illnesses that can occur and how they occur … in the future, the better – we say!
