Inverurie JAC success in North Region Clay Pigeon Shoot

The SAYFC North Region annual Clay Pigeon Shooting competition was held at Seafield Shooting Ground, Portsoy on Sunday 16th October with success going to Inverurie JAC.

The day saw 25 competitors from across the region take part in a 50-bird sporting flush with two teams making the trip down to represent Orkney District along with six Grampian teams. Inverurie JAC showed their superior shooting skills on the day, taking first place with their team made up of Martyn Thomson, Ian Armstrong and Aiden Wallace (combined score of 98).

The second placed team were from Keith YFC, Michael Stronach, Ricky Henderson and Tom Gillibard (combined score of 94) and Third place went to Orkney District B, Declan Fraser, Andrew Seator and Campbell Ridland (Harray YFC combined score of 87). Other competing teams were from Garioch, Lower Speyside, Mid Deeside, Orkney District and Udny.

The Top Gun individual of competition was Aiden Wallace of Inverurie JAC with a score of 39 out of a possible 50.
