Gemma who this week, celebrated her 30th birthday at home instead of Slovenia comments; “Having been on the Rally last year, I was excited for catching up with old friends and meeting new ones this year. This year’s disappointment will build on 2021’s excitement – I think it’ll be worth the wait!

JAMES HAMILTON [AVONDALE YFC]Β  Β  Β  Farmer
Busy with summer farm work on his mainly beef farm, on the outskirts of Linlithgow, Avondale & Bathgate member – James Hamilton commented saying; “When I went for the Kilimanjaro climb interview with SAYFC – I had no idea the abundance of other trips on offer – like Slovenia for the Rally, to meet fellow Young Farmers from various countries. Just brilliant!”

Annabel has worked from home since the 18th March; “Me and my fiance’s postponed wedding is now two weeks prior to the 2021 Rally in Slovenia – so i’ll can celebrate early with a new found group of buddies on a fun week – I can’t wait to meet everyone in 2021!”

EMMA HARPER [WEST RENFREWSHIRE YFC]Β  Β  Β  Β Trainee Accountant, Malcolm Group Logistics
Miss Harper has been travelling since lockdown lifted, with her tent visiting beautiful spots such as Mull, Iona and Bute – also getting the hands dirty with the family farm’s shearing day!
She mentions; “The Rally will be bigger and better when it comes around, I’m sure of it! Members must not loose sight of all the good times to come!Β  What a buzz it’ll be!”Β

Recently had a week off, from her busy role – Mhairi highlights; “I’m very lucky with my role, that I’ve been able to get ‘out and about’ on farms for a change of scenery from home working. I’m looking forward to meeting the group and it’s super we have an extra year of planning… can only mean we are in for an even better Rally!”
